Solar energy could theoreticaly cover the word's electicty demand by just 3% of its land area, This is one of the man condusions of new esearh by a group of academicinstutons,led byAarhus University in enmarkThe reearchers daim that raw materials and land avalabitywil not present real barrers to PY in its rae to dominate the globa energy andscape

The sdientists caim that for an averae amua generation for solar of 1370 kWh/kw,38 mllion hectares would be neded. They noted that the world has a tota area of 13,03 mllon hectares

"Hence.our current electricitv consumtion ould be supplied by solar py covering 0.3% of the avaiable land" researcher Marta Victoria told py mapazine
